Dear Friends,

As the holidays approach, we THANK YOU for your unwavering generosity this year and every year. For many in our community, 2022 has proven to be another incredibly challenging year. With the rising costs of everything, our neighbors have to make impossible choices between putting food on the table and paying for rent, utilities, healthcare, and other needs. Thanks to your support, we have been doing our best to provide for those with nowhere else to turn.

Throughout the holiday season, we hope to provide all the extra trimmings for festive family meals, including turkey, fish, fresh produce, and non-perishables. Every dollar donated will directly impact those in need and allow our families to enjoy holiday celebrations together.

The fall and winter months are the hardest. It can be very stressful as seasonal work slows down and utility bills spike. Demand for our services remains high and each month we continue to add nearly 20 new families. To date, we have provided 150,467 meals compared to 129,645 at this time last year. So, we know our food pantry and assistance services are a vital lifeline for our community.

Together, we directly help families not just with food support, but in countless other ways. Many in our community continue to struggle to afford the high cost of living here, and the winter months only make things that much harder. This year we have seen local families displaced from their homes resulting in people having to sleep outside, living in cars, or separated from each other to take shelter with friends. In response, our Assistance Program has provided deposits on new rentals, covered gaps in rent, and helped with soaring utility payments to keep families together and safe. We also covered home insurance and property taxes for low-income seniors so they could stay in their homes. This is only possible with your support.

This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 to ensure every child, family, and senior has enough to eat and a safe place to live. In this season of giving, we invite you to join us in our mission of helping our neighbors. Our caring community remains the driving force behind Heart of the Hamptons, and we thank you for your continued support!

Wishing you and your loved ones health and happiness this coming holiday season.

With deepest gratitude,

Molly Bishop

Executive Director

P.S. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Will you help us reach our goal of $100,000 this year?
