Overview

Our Donated Clothing Room provides quality, new and used clothing for people and families in need. Customers registered with us through our Food Pantry may visit the Clothing Room once a month for free clothing, or by request. Customers are also able to purchase clothing on a sliding scale (items are generally $1 to $5).

We receive over 20,000 LBS of donated clothing each year.  Our Manager, Maripaz Ramos, and a dedicated group of community volunteers unpack, check for cleanliness, sort, display clothing donations and assist clients.

The Clothing Room also provides new and used clothing to students in our local school district when school administrators contact us about a specific need. During the winter months we provide winter coats, blankets, hats, scarves and gloves.  The Southampton Village Police, Southampton Elks Lodge, J-Crew, Southampton Elementary Student Council & Good Ground Cleaners, and Southampton Rotary Club’s annual winter coat drives provide winter coats to the Clothing Room every year for distribution.

CLOTHING DONATIONS

Clothing donations may be dropped off Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am – 3 pm.  Forms are available for appraising the value of items for tax deduction purposes. Every item of clothing donated to our Clothing Room is either distributed to our clients or used by Big Brothers Big Sisters Long Island.
