Clothing Room

The Clothing Room

The donated Clothing Room provides free, quality new and used clothing for families in need.  Registered clients may visit the Clothing Room once a month or by request. The facility is a large, well organized space where clients may easily browse and select the items they need.  All clothing is clean and hung on racks. Currently the Clothing Room serves 400 registered households totaling 1100 people. Staff and a dedicated group of community volunteers help us unpack, sort and display clothing donations and assist clients.

The Clothing Room also provides new and used clothing to students in our local school district when school administrators contact us about a specific need. During the winter months we provide winter coats, blankets, hats, scarves and gloves.  The Southampton Village Police and Southampton Rotary Club’s annual winter coat drive provide 30-50 winter coats to the Clothing Room every year for distribution to local school students.

Clothing Donations

Clothing donations may be brought to the Clothing Room on M-W-F from 10 am – 12 pm.  Forms are available for appraising the value of items for tax deduction purposes. Every item of clothing donated to our Clothing Room is either distributed to our clients or used by Big Brothers Big Sisters Long Island.
