Help us ensure no child goes hungry this summer so we can send them back to school healthy, happy, and prepared for the new year ahead!

Heart of the Hamptons needs your help to ensure local kids can enjoy their summer vacation without worry and get ready for a great new school year ahead! Through our two critical programs, Lunchbox Kids and Backpack Kids, we are focused on all children having a fun, healthy, and enriching summer. Students from low-income families are especially vulnerable to summer learning loss and the effects of food insecurity without school meals to rely on. Each month, we serve more than 800 local kids. Will you join us in giving them great nutritious food and a fun healthy summer?

In the past year, we have provided 189,148 meals for kids. Our community depends on Heart ofthe Hamptons to ensure no child is left hungry this summer. Did you know that every school in our area is considered a high-poverty district by USDA standards? We work closely with school support staff to encourage all families that depend on free and reduced lunch to utilize our pantry. As part of Lunchbox Kids, this summer we will offer a new program, Lunch and Learning. Kids will come to enjoy a healthy meal and take part in a fun enrichment program. Any family that attends will also receive additional healthy groceries for children and their working parents.

The need goes beyond guaranteeing our kids are well-nourished throughout the summer. Enabling young and bright students to transition back to school smoothly is vital to their success, health, and happiness. As part of our Backpack Kids programming, we will give low-income families the opportunity to send their children to fun summer camps. Many of the children we serve are home alone for long hours while their parents work. Together, we can make sure they stay engaged all summer! When it is time to return to school, we will provide backpacks, clothing, new shoes, and all the essential supplies necessary to thrive as they start the new school year. Students can then focus on what is most important – building self-esteem and learning.

We need your help to prepare children in our community for success. Will you help us raise $100,000 to support our vital Lunchbox Kids and Backpack Kids programs?

With heartfelt appreciation, thank you for believing in the future of our kids.
